Protential Group are recruiting Tillage Farm Managers for their clients in the tillage sector. You will be responsible for overseeing large scale potato and cereal production, lead the production team and play a crucial role in managing and ensuring the efficiency the farm operations. This is an opportunity to work on mechanised and automated farms with progressive and efficient farmers.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the tillage farm operations.
• Oversee the production of potatoes and cereals.
• Develop and implement farm plans and strategies to optimize productivity.
• Monitor and maintain farm budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
• Manage and maintain farm machinery.
• Follow and implement safety protocols and agricultural best practices.
• Coordinate with suppliers, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare and analyse farm reports, including crop yields, expenses, and profits.
• Train and supervise farm staff, ensuring their competence and productivity.

Essential Qualifications

• Prior experience in managing large-scale tillage farming operations.
• Strong knowledge of potato and cereal production.
• Proficient in developing and implementing farm plans and strategies.
• Ability to manage farm budgets effectively.
• Excellent farm machinery competency.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities.
• Degree in Agriculture or related field.

Desired Experience

The desired experience for this role is a maximum of 3 years in a similar position within the agricultural industry.
