Protential Group are recruiting for experienced Pig Farm Managers to lead the on-farm team and oversee daily operations. This is an opportunity for candidates with the required qualifications and experience to further their career while working in a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the day-to-day activities of a pig farm including feeding, breeding, and vaccination.
• Ensure the health and welfare of the pigs, including disease prevention and treatment.
• Create and implement farm management strategies to perfect productivity and efficiency.
• Monitor the performance and growth of the pigs and keep records of their health and progress.
• Manage the farm’s inventory of supplies, equipment, and medicines.
• Supervise and train farm staff, giving guidance and support as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards for pig farming.
• Monitor and control farm expenses to keep budgetary targets.
• Maintain proper hygiene and cleanliness in the farm premises.
• Coordinate with veterinary professionals for regular check-ups and treatment of the pigs.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in pig farming or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of pig husbandry, nutrition, and health management.
• Agricultural degree/diploma is a benefit.
