Production Supervisor

Job Description

Protential Group are currently seeking to hire a Production Supervisor for immediate start.

The Role:
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for the planning, directing, and monitoring of all production and maintenance activities, to maximise the use of the organization’s resources. Thus, this role will support the delivery of goods to meet customer demand and to meet the established production schedules and specifications. This role reports to the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production facility performance and resource utilization.
• Generate and manage production data, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Manage and lead the production team while adhering to safety and quality requirements.
• Chair daily production meetings with various teams.
• Optimize production parameters and drive continuous improvement.
• Monitor and control costs within budget.
• Handle attendance, payroll, and performance management.
• Address employee issues and disciplinary matters.
• Propose and implement process improvements and SOPs.
• Minimize ingredient and product wastage.
• Promote a strong safety culture.
• Collaborate with customer service to enhance service levels.
• Maintain audit readiness of the manufacturing facility.

The Person:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position, providing management in an industry with high volume product.
• Project management experience and excellent organisational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A relevant third level qualification is desirable.
• Previous experience working within the dairy industry is a distinct advantage.
